Growing up in Lebanon, olive oil was more than an ingredient; it was a way of life. Every meal was based on its delicious tastes, which were firmly ingrained in my culture and traditions. It radiated the warmth of the Mediterranean sun, reflecting the beauty of the region and culture around us. Even as a child, I was drawn to olive oil.

When I was nine years old, a trip to Portugal changed my life. Surrounded by elegant olive groves and ancient trees, each with its own history, I realised how diverse and remarkable olive oils could be. The idea of sharing these oils with the rest of the world originated there.

The journey led to a deep exploration of olive trees and the art of creating oil using time-honoured techniques, where tradition meets perfection in every bottle. Years of learning and passion culminated in my becoming an olive oil sommelier, followed by the founding of The Olive Oil Guy. The purpose is to bring the finest oils from sun-soaked Mediterranean trees to consumers who value authenticity and quality.

This dedication resulted in the release of First Edition—a single-pressed extra virgin olive oil derived from Greece's distinguished Koroneiki olives. It's a celebration of the Koroneiki olive's strong character, with a peppery taste complemented by a fruity undertone—a symphony of flavours that elevates even the most conventional dish. It's a versatile oil produced on family-owned farms that's perfect for drizzling, dipping, or cooking, with a vibrant mix of flavours.
